Aubrey North · Script coverage
The read that develops the script, not grades it.
Most coverage tells you whether a script passes. That is not the read we give. We read for what the story is trying to be, and how to make it more marketable — a developmental read from someone who has worked on the commissioning side of the desk, not a static checklist and a grade.
The same principle as the rest of our work: we find what best conveys the story, then tell you the clearest way forward.
The three reads
Coverage
For a writer who wants a clear, honest read and the priorities to fix first.
A logline, a short synopsis, and two to three pages of notes on premise, structure, character, dialogue and market — ending with the three things to fix before anything else. Delivered within 7 working days.
Coverage + Development Notes
For a writer going into a rewrite who wants depth, not just a verdict.
Everything in Coverage, plus a scene-by-scene map, page-level notes in the margins, and a prioritised rewrite plan: what to cut, what to build, and the order to do it in.
Coverage + Conversation
For a writer who wants to talk it through.
Everything above, plus a 60-minute call to work through the notes and the rewrite together.
Add-ons — Express (delivered in 3 working days) +£75 · Over-length (features over 120 pages, pilots over 65) +£50 · Returning writers: a re-read of your revised draft at half price, within 90 days.
How it works
Choose a read. Send your script as a PDF, with a few lines about it. We read it and deliver within 7 working days — 3 with Express. For Coverage + Conversation, you book the call once you have had time to sit with the notes.
Scope
Feature screenplays, TV pilots and short films. Feature up to 120 pages, pilot up to 65, short up to 40 — the over-length add-on applies beyond that. One draft per order; a revised draft is a fresh read.
A one-word recommendation — Pass, Consider or Recommend — is available on request, but it is left off by default. We are here to develop the script, not to gatekeep it.
